Ngarie and Leister came to work today for an afternoon of music before Christmas! 

Secret Santa!

Yesterday was secret Santa present giving and I recieved a torch and some chocolate! Score!

Warning Shot

Today I finished the poster for my clever Mark Bond story that I wrote in My literacy and numeracy session. My story was called warning shot! On the poster is Mark Bond, M and Jaws the villain. There is Tauranga harbour bridge in the background, the ocean, A Shark and a gun. It is really cool. I get to take it home to stick on my wall.

Spider garden art COMPLETED!

Today I completed my spider garden art project, Lily helped me arrange the flowers and leaves I chose , around the frame of my piece. 

Hamilton casino trip.

I had a really cool time in Hamilton, seeing the huge xmas tree and having a yummy lunch at the casino.

Making ginger Christmas Cookies

I had fun using Christmas cookie cutters to cut out our spiced ginger cookies. I made stars. A Santa and a few bells. They turned out really cool! 

Hamilton

So glad I was able to go on a trip to Hamilton today to see the Christmas tree and have lunch at the casino. I've been sick with a cough for the last two days so I was finally well enough for my trip. 

Wall sign

I have finished making a really cool, Mark the spider hunter sign for my room. I made two cool spiders out of recycled Christmas ornaments and beads. I made the sign out of wood and used a poker burner to write the letters in the wood. To finish it off I added a cool spiders web in the middle. It looks awesome! I am taking it home today. 

Cooking!

Doing an eggstraudinary job making curried egg club sandwiches! They were cracking!

today we went to katikati museum where we dressed up made butter and made scones as they would have back in the olden days

Music poem writing!

Writing an animal poem with my friend Lenaire in music. I am creating a beat to the poem.

Busting some moves on Highland games day!

I enjoyed dancing to Celtic techno music as part of the Highland games day with my friends!

Dracula came to Arohanui

We had a special Halloween visitor at the centre today. He calls himself Mark Dracula! He brought a light up cane and danced to Thriller in the sensory room. Muhuhahahahahahaha! 

Luckily I am a friendly vampire. 

Guys group

I had my face painted in guys group. I am Dracula muhahahahaha.

Art

I am helping to make our fireworks canvas. I painted the end of the toilet roll and pressed it onto the canvas.

Work in progress

i am continuing with my work on sanding a spider for my garden art project. It does not look like much right now but soon it will be transformed.

Shark attack!!

I was working on my James Bond poster and decided to add a Great white shark with big scary teeth! My poster is starting to look really awesome. 

Recipe writing

Next week we are making Macaroni cheese in cooking group. I found this recipe in my Ahoranui cook book. We decided to change a few of the ingredients but use it as a starter. I wrote out the new recipe for my book.

A special visit.

Today I had a lovely suprise! My sister Wendy and her partner Neal came to Arohanui to visit me on their way home! They came to visit mum us and look around Tauranga. They drove all the way from Palmerston North. It was awesome to show them where I work and for them to meet my friends.

Today I worked hard on my warning shot poster. I coloured in M, and Jaws using colourful pencils. 

Dracula

In guys group I had my face painted to look like Dracula. I can't wait for October and Halloween.

Fun in music with special guests

Today we has special guests to the centre named Lester and 

Ngarie who sang really fun songs with us and played guitar and the piano accordion. I sang and played along with the ukulele. 

Mark bond bat hunter

I painted a sign for Halloween . It was good. I did a great job. 

Daffodil day

I went and collect money for Daffodil day, I met some really nice people.

Fish n chips

We had fish and chips for lunch last Friday. They were so good.

Flower power

We had a special visitor to the centre today. I made a special clip for my mum and made a new best friend. 

Great day

I had a great day yesterday playing the drums in music to my good friends songs, The Bee Gees. Then I got picked up early to go the movies with my Mum. It was awesome!

Happy birthday to me!

I had my birthday on Sunday we had a birthday cake to celebrate on Monday with my friends at Arohanui. Mum brought in some sausage rolls to share.
