We had a great time visiting Santa’s grotto yesterday.

What an awesome time I had at the Christmas party on Friday! All my friends were there, heaps of awesome music to dance to, and we were even surprised with a circus show! The food was delicious. What a awesome way to end the year.

On Tuesday I went with guys group to ten pin bowling. What cool fun it was 😁

we had a great walk yesterday for guys group! We enjoyed the sunshine!

Kareoke

|Here I am singing my heart out into the microphone! I am singing "Oh what a night" on karaoke to all my friends. I am awesome at singing.

Gardening

This afternoon I spent the afternoon gardening! It's a nice day to be outside!

Happy halloween

one of my goals this year was to help organise a Halloween disco! I have completed this goal today and am very happy! I am Dracula 🧛‍♂️ iv had so much fun dancing to the scared songs!

Sensory

In sensory today we explored different textures we can feel with our hands. Here I am finding things that feel soft and hard at the same time!

Bush walk

this afternoon we had a great walk through a mini bush walk. I had great fun orientating through the walk.

Disco

I'm excited to be helping Vanessa organize the Halloween disco!

Guys group

in guys group yesterday we watched some snippets of the Richie macaw documentary, I really enjoyed watching his early rugby days.

Kulim park

i enjoyed a lovely outing to Kulim park yesterday. There was a lot of sea weed which was really stinky. There were so many sea gulls I chased them away.

Guys group

we had a cool outing yesterday to the rose gardens for guys group. I took my magnifying glass to look for different creatures. I found a couple of geckos and spiders.

Rainbow Springs

I had a great day out at Rainbow Springs where we got to see baby Kiwis that only just hatched out of their shells!!! Feed the Fish and seen all the beautiful birds!!!

Geckos

i obtained some lizards yesterday for my enclosure at work. I enjoyed watching them yesterday.

Guide dogs

Today we had a visit from the guide dog foundation, they brought in 5 days and one was just a cute little puppy, it was nice to be able to pat them and feed them.

I had a great time in guys group. we dismantled a old computer. I'm hoping to create a shark out of recycled pieces.

Dracular

I had my face painted by Dee, and turned into Dracular.

T rex

i love to look up on the iPad during computers about dinosaurs. I bring my dinosaur, Michael to work. He is a T. rex.

Simba

on Friday I chose to make a lion head mosaic project which I am really excited about. I used my toy lion as a model of Simba. I can’t wait for next Friday.

Rugby World Cup

Today we started on a Rugby world cup poster so we can who is playing.

I    had  a   cup  cake  and  with my friends at Arohanui. Mum brought in a sponge cake, sausage rolls and chips to share with   friends and t  rex.

Shopping lists

i had a good session in literacy working on my shopping list to make a bacon and egg pie. One of my favourite things to make. I hope I can go out next week to buy the food to make the recipe.

Music with Tess

this afternoon Tess came in and played her guitar for us. I loved it!

The mighty Tane Mahuta

In nature studies I used my map skills to find Tane Mahuta, the King of the Forest. I have been studying about the kauri tree and remember that the young tree is tall and narrow like an arrow. I love to collect interesting leaves and red flowers when I go out during nature sessions

Yesterday in literacy /numeracy I pretended to buy items with play money and had a fantastic time doing so.

Comvita

On Tuesday I went to Comvita in Paengaroa to learn about the life of the honey bee!

It was awesome! We learnt that bees have 5 eyes and if a bee comes close, I need to stay still to avoid getting stung as the bee is probably mistaking us for a flower! 

I enjoyed it all but especially listening to the bees at the end of the tour.

Kmart & Bunnings

on Monday I went to Kmart and I had a great time browsing around the shop with my friend.
On Tuesday I went with guys group to Bunnings , looking at different tools and loved looking at plants and flowers in the garden centre.

Classic flyers

yesterday I went to classic flyers museum at the mount. I had a great time looking at all the old airplanes. I had the opportunity sitting in the cockpit pretending being a pilot and another one being a passenger.
I took some photos of the airplanes I liked the most.

Baby Torben

Dee brought her new baby Torben into visit us.

Reading in activities

Today in activities I was reading a book about spiders to Karin.

Painting gnomes

Today in Garden art I started painting garden gnomes to decorate the gardens around the centre.
I'm having a great time colouring the gnomes in funky colours

Soccer at Greerton park

Yesterday I went to Greerton Park to play soccer with my friends. I had a great time kicking and throwing the ball.

Dees baby

Dee brought her baby into see us, he is very cut. My Mum was here and had cuddles with him. Dees baby is called Torben.

Rose garden / Hot house

today I went to Tauranga rose garden. I had a great time walking around the garden and  smelling different type of roses. The view from the gardens was just amazing overlooking the harbour. We tried to spot some sea life but unfortunately couldn't see any animals

Waihi Beach hop

I had a blast at the Waihi Beach hop a couple of weeks ago! We got a free hat from the Repco stall, and I saw heaps of cool James bond cars. Here are my favourites….

Otanewianuku

I went on a day long adventure into the Otanewianuku bush with my friends! It was awesome! we were followed by a fantail. I used the magnifying glass to see spiders clearer! I looked out for orange triangles to show everyone the way!

Dee's baby shower!

Today was a day of dirty diaper throwing, pin the bottle on the baby, putting nappies on a baby and baby obstacle course! We had a blast! We also had to guess who's who from staff baby photos AND guess the amount of sweets in the baby bottle.
I was especially good at the dirty diaper throw - getting 4 out of 5 in the hoop!

Literacy

we are doing poems in literacy, my poem is about sharks.

Toyworld

I went on an outing and checked out the cool Lego displays at toyworld. Here I am with a lego happy potter!

James Bond after a scrap

Today I  had theatre art and decided to be James Bond after a scrap. I have a bruise on my forehead and a big scratch on my cheek.

Classics Museum

Classic car museum in Hamilton was AWESOME! My favourite cars were the bond cars. I enjoyed having photos with the my favourite cars.
